    Regular Members

Membership may be available to all organizations. This definition shall include owners or managers of organizations who perform the HR function for their organization or such other persons whose duties cause them to work in close cooperation with the HR/Industrial relations professional. Each organization will be represented by its voting representative. All paid member organizations have one vote and the organization's voting representative may hold office. To retain our status as a SHRM affiliate, it is recommended that the voting member of the organization be a SHRM member. Being a SHRM member is not a requirement to be a member of the Wabash Area Personnel Association. Being a SHRM member, and the organization representative/voting member, aids WAPA in retaining the SHRM affiliation.  Membership in the Chapter is held in the individual's name, not an organization with which the member is affiliated.

    Honorary/Associate Membership

Any regular member in good standing at the time of his retirement may be elected to Honorary Membership of the chapter by the vote and approval of the membership. Such Honorary Members shall be entitled to full membership, but will not have the right to vote or to hold office.

Student members may not vote or hold office in the Chapter.
