    Morning Session – Road Safety (Registration 8:00–8:30 a.m.)

    8:30-9:30 a.m. – Ed Rahn, Operation Life Saver

    Together, We Can Save Lives at Railroad Crossings and on Train Tracks

    While the number of highway-rail crossing collisions, deaths and injuries has dropped over the past five decades, it’s still a startling fact that about every three hours in the U.S., a person or vehicle is hit by a train.  This training will cover train safety at railroad crossings and anywhere trains operate.

    9:35-10:20 a.m. – Capt. Matt Benson, Wabash City Police Department

    Business Travel Safety

    This training will cover duty of care, employer requirements for employees, travel: air or land, hotel stays and other concerns.

    10:30-11:30 a.m. – Alan Siepker, HR Ideas Unlimited

    Road Warrior 101: Managing Business Travel, Fleet Vehicles, and Employees in the Field

    Do you have a distracted driving policy?  How do you manage fleet vehicles?  Do you have a process for identifying authorized drivers for company business?  Do you conduct motor vehicle reports?  How do you address moving violations and infractions?  What training do you conduct and document?  This session will cover these topics and more!
