Our guest speaker for this meeting will be Jeff Patton with ARC of Wabash County.
Presentation topic will be How to Gain the #Disability Advantage. People with disabilities are an untapped labor source. Unemployment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is over 80%! Many studies have shown that employees with disabilities are more loyal, more productive, stay far longer what an employer, and increase profitability. On behalf of ARC of Wabash County, Jeff will address the perceived obstacles to hiring people with disabilities and demonstrate from data how hiring people with disabilities is a win-win-win situation for the employer, for the employee, and for the community at large.
